This is a test of your brain's ability to detect binaural beats at higher frequencies.
According to the research I've read, there's a clear limit to how fast the brain can process them.
Before quoting that research to say why binaural beat tracks can only go so fast … I thought I'd do a little research of my own!
Posting new comments is disabled: STATS COLLECTED! The results will be collected and shared in an upcoming video. You can still have fun and take the test, but you don't need to share your numbers. 🙂

Actually, I generally recommend that people use “lowest common denominator” equipment wherever possible — expensive headphones often have surround enhancers, bass boost, reverb, Dolby, Atmos, DTS, etc. These often modify the frequencies and then it’s impossible to say which binaural beats you’ll actually experience. Using your phone’s MP3 player and cheap headphones, in my opinion, will do a better job of playing the tracks as intended.

Thought I was doing the test wrong, but despite my washing machine having a fit on test #4 I heard all.

I am a veteran binaural beat listener. I use binaural beat tapes for sleep. I found it easier to hear the beats at the lower Hz. I used cheapo head phones for the test. No idea what they are.

I never opened my eyes because I think I hear the wobble / ripple all the time. When the frequency goes up, there’s a point where it seems to fade but then it’s as if a lower harmonic comes in. Same goes for the descending versions.

Thanks for sharing your results!
One thing I always recommend is to DISABLE any filters on your device (surround enhancers, Dolby, Atmos, DTS, bass boost, Beats, echo, reverb, etc.) as they will modify the frequencies and binaural beats will rarely work as intended.
Also, make sure your phone isn’t playing in mono mode — it happens to a lot of people.
The way to be sure: lift one earphone. If the pulse goes away, it’s working. If you still hear a pulse, your device may be in mono mode or using a filter/enhancer of some kind.

I have tinnitis in my left ear. I’m not sure what affect that may have, but I do find that the sleep and wake tracks work for me.
